Question:
Can I do meditation when I’m having a headache? (Arif, Dalung)
Answer:
Yes, you can. By doing meditation correctly, generally the headache will be gone or reduced. I personally will advise, when you are having a headache, please meditate by relaxing your body as follows: With your gentle mind, gently touch your head and neck, then to your right shoulder and right arm. Always with gentle mind, continue to feel your left shoulder and left arm. Next, gently touch with your gentle mind your chest, then abdomen, and your sex organ. After that, always with gentle mind, go and feel your right leg, then left leg. Then feel your buttocks and your back. Feel gently until your whole body feels relaxed. In general, after doing this, your headache will subside. You can continue with the breathing observing technique, and then feel the body part by part. Healing is in progress. Headache is the result of tension in the body in which there can be more than 200 causes. By feeling gently your tension in the body from inside as well as from outside, the headache should be getting better. |
