There are how many kinds of meditation positions? (Putu Sudiartha, Denpasar)
Answer: In general there are 4 different kinds of meditation positions: 1. Standing 2. Walking 3. Lying down 4. Sitting
For beginners, I would suggest to choose the sitting position. It will be better if cross-legged is possible. From metaphysics point of view, in this sitting position our body forms a pyramid which energy is centered in the chest chakra. This sitting position will make you easier to develop the Usada meditation. In Usada meditation, the chest chakra plays a very important role.
The stronger our chest chakra is, the easier it will be for us to feel the sensation of the breathing as well as of the body. This is very useful to make our body healthier and to let go of our bad reaction from our memory. |
